SJ Security Officer, FT Nights
The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of hospital grounds as well as of employees, patients and visitors. Must be aware of all hospital codes and be able to respond appropriately. Security Officers conduct investigations, coordinate efforts with hospital staff, and act as a line of defense from outside criminal threats. The Security Officer works alongside clinical staff in the care of patients, specifically patients that present a safety / security risk to staff and visitors.

*0 - 1 year Experience in Law Enforcement, Corrections or Private Security. (Required)
* High School Diploma or GED (Required)
2 - 4 years Experience in Law Enforcement, Corrections or Private Security. (Preferred)
Required Skills: Strong Verbal Communications Skills, Excellent Interpersonal Skills
State Driver’s License with less than 3 points (Required)
Maryland Security Guard Card (Preferred)
IAHSS Basic Security Certification (Preferred)
Annual aggression management training (Preferred)
BLS/CPR Certification (Preferred, must obtain within 90 days of hire)
