Laurel Heights Hospital located in Atlanta Georgia has a HOUSEKEEPER/ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE WORKER (FULL TIME) opportunity. Laurel Heights Hospital is an intensive Residential Treatment/Acute and Autism Spectrum Disorders Program for children and adolescents. We serve and treat severe and complex psychiatric and behavioral difficulties and co-occurring psychiatric issues. We provide a caring, therapeutic setting with various therapeutic modalities and applied behavior analysis services. EOE

QUALIFICATION AT ENTRY:

Reading, writing and math skills; basic English usage; courtesy; neatness; adherence to instructions and deadlines; knowledge of, and skills in applying, basic cleaning and housekeeping procedures and methods; institutional experience desired.

LEVEL OF READING AND WRITING REQUIRED FOR JOB:

Reading and writing consistent with basic level.  

MACHINES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT USED ON THE JOB:

• Cleaning and polishing solutions and compounds • vacuum   carpet • shampooer
• • mop and broom • drive company vehicle

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to exercise self-control in potentially volatile situations such as being verbally or physically confronted in a threatening or aggressive manner; must be able to work and concentrate amidst distractions such as noise, conversation and foot traffic; ability to handle interruptions often and be able to move from one task to another; must be flexible and not easily frustrated in dealing with differences of opinions.
