DBA - Epic Client Systems Administrator
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, plus an afterhours/weekend on call rotation. Applicants hired into this position can work remotely from most states. This will be discussed during the interview process.

We are seeking an Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) to:
- Create and maintain the Epic environments and instances used by UW Health and our partners.
- Build and maintain the virtual servers running on Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Work with Epic, management, and the server team to determine hardware requirements.
- Maintain the files that allow for Epic client communication with the database.
- Work closely with business operations and application analysts to implement new EMR features.
- Lead/assist in any troubleshooting activities.
- Act as subject matter expert for new projects.

Education:
Minimum – Associate degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, Health Administration, Engineering, or related field
Two (2) years of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree
Preferred – Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field strongly preferred
Work Experience:
Minimum –
- Demonstrated success contributing to infrastructure technology implementations.
- Demonstrated success building and managing server operating systems including Windows and Linux environments.
- Demonstrated success isolating and remediating issues in a highly available environment.
- Demonstrated success optimizing performance of supported systems without negatively affecting business operations.
Preferred – Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience within a large-scale database/server support environment

- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- Microsoft Certified Azure Database Administrator
- Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
- Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA)
