CLINICAL DOCUMENTATION COORDINATOR RN FULL TIME DAYS MANATEE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
The Clinical Documentation Coordinator is a registered nurse with a broad clinical knowledge base. Responsible for the clinically based concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient medical records to evaluate the utilization and documentation of acute care services. Analyzes and monitors the appropriateness of physician documentation for the delivery of care to accurately reflect patient severity of illness and risk of mortality through concurrent review. Assures compliance of the medical record documentation for required CMS agency guidelines as needed. Responsible for monitoring for the accurate and compliant documentation to support reimbursement for acute care services. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Current and active State of Florida RN license
Demonstrates a strong broad-based clinical knowledge and understanding of pathology/physiology of disease processes
Bachelor’s degree required
Demonstrates excellent critical thinking skills and prioritization
Minimum 3-5 years of clinical bedside experience in an acute care (critical care, medical/surgical, or emergency department) setting required
Must have a proven track record in nurse-physician relationships and demonstrate assertive personality traits to facilitate ongoing physician communication
