Staff Research Associate I
The Department of Medicine is looking for a motivated Staff Research Associate I to study the neural control of the heart in large animals using the latest techniques in cardiac electrophysiology and neuroscience. In this role, you will support experiments in animal models involving: (1) surgical dissection; (2) obtaining hemodynamic, cardiac electrophysiological, and neural data and tissues; and (3) molecular biological analysis of tissues. You will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, and assist in Immunohistochemical staining of tissues and assist with collecting samples from animal experiments. You will leverage techniques to help with large animal surgery, tissue processing and clearing, immunohistochemistry/immunofluorescence, microscopy, and data analysis.
