Responsibilities
Performs activities or tasks in specialty pharmacy services. Performs specialized areas as medicine history, buyer and other inventory related areas, nuclear, and PAP as a pharmacy technician.
- Refills and maintains automated dispensing system.
- Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the specialty pharmacy areas.
- Repackages bulk medications.
- Receives and stores incoming supplies.
- Serves as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing necessary
information.
Requirements
- Preferred credentials:
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Must possess all state and local qualifications.
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association. Must possess all state and
local qualifications.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
Financial aid and grant experience highly preferred
