Job Description

Salary Range:  $80,000 to $106,000 annual

  • Opportunity to join a great community on a stellar sales team.  Plan, direct and coordinate efforts of sales team members toward accomplishment of sales objectives. Responsible for maintaining CRM system and ensuring leads are divided among sales counselors and his/her self. Responsible for meeting budgeted occupancy targets both via personal sales and those of team. Ensure maximum sales volume at minimum cost. Provides information and recommendations to the Executive Director, Senior Management team and community leadership regarding sales activity. Provides feedback and suggestions as to areas of the campus to ensure marketability. Accountable to meet budgeted calls, appointments and sales goals for self and team.  Coach and mentor sales team members while overseeing functions related to achieving occupancy goals.

 

Work Duties

  • Oversees overall sales functions in the life plan community. Directs and supervises all positions related to sales, including sales events, move-in coordination and support services.
  • Support mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture, vision, customer service and community presentation expectations.
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of all competitors, services provided, rates and an updated competitive analysis.
  • Capable of leading by example and demonstrating excellence in all aspects of the sales process.
  • Develops and implements long-range and short-term sales plans for Independent Living. Modifies community specific marketing and census development plans as needed. Including review of supply and demand of inventory and incentive development.
  • Nurtures referral and networking relationships through aggressive, customer-oriented sales process.
  • Handles prospect tours, appointments, contract signings and deposit process for prospects. Evaluates financial eligibility of prospective residents.
  • Directs sales team to ensure response to inquiries for information, record prospect profiles in lead tracking software, invite prospects to tour, maintain presence with prospects and elicit applications for residency.
  • Monitors occupancy and manages the process of reserving available inventory, produces and distributes various regular lead and sales reports, works towards budget preparation and maintenance.
  • Directs sales team in assisting applicants in the process of making the transition to residential community life. Coordinate tour, orientation, and ensure consistent preparation of residences and introduction of key staff members.
  • Supervise the sales team of the department: recruit, hire, supervise, train, coordination of activities, conducting performance evaluations and discipline. Responsible to and supervises sales staff to communicate with prospects, staff, and administration on a regular basis in all pertinent matters. Coordinates the work of the sales team with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of responsibility.
  • Participates in committee meetings, and professional growth conferences, seminars and trainings; contribute to the educational experiences of community staff by sharing information and training.
  • Monitor and manage the budget of the department; prepare monthly financial reports
  • Research, ___ and draft comprehensive annual community sales/marketing plan
  • Provide suggestions and insight for community upgrade and apartment renovation projects
  • Partner with Executive Director and other community departments in hosting onsite sales events and presentations
  • Attend in-service training and workshops and meetings as required. Complete on-line and other training as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or other applicable degree required.

 Experience/Training

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential sales, long-term care, independent living, assisted living or healthcare setting.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, public speaking and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient presentation skills; proficiency in data entry, word processing, and typing; ability to work effectively and independently with various levels of administrative managers within the healthcare setting and community leaders and organizations, strong leadership qualities.
